RETHINKING THE OPEN SPACE

The project conceived for the Winkler Livecom offices breaks the impersonality of the open space by designing spaces with a human dimension. Combining functionality and warmth, the innovative design of the premises aims to promote personal fulfilment at work.

Upon arriving at the headquarters designed for Winkler Livecom in Wohlen (Aargau) by Iconia, the first element that catches the eye is the animated front panel - topped by a discreet stylised signature - which plunges the visitor directly into the Winkler event world, with a noticeable touch of digital sophistication.

The visitor quickly moves on to a convivial area, kitchen and bar, and an Agora dedicated to informal presentations. The services, designed according to a functional logic, alternate collaborative and creative spaces with closed meeting rooms, which can be used according to need. Concentrated in the centre, they leave the spaces on the window side to the office islands, bathed in natural light to promote well-being at work. Elegant cupboards serve as practical storage space and place boundaries to break the impersonality of the open space. The intimacy of offices on a human scale is thus recreated.

Vegetal life is omnipresent and plays the card of contrast with the industrial identity of the place - Winkler Livecom in Wohlen (Aargau) by Iconia

Vegetal life is omnipresent and plays the card of contrast with the industrial identity of the place, knowingly preserved in the form of raw ceilings and floors. The dialogue between nature and industry is expressed through the choice of materials with soothing colours related to the earth, as well as the presence of pastel tones. Raw wood, stone and rounded elements alternate with metal structures and angularity to distil authenticity but also serenity to the premises. Warm, functional and focused on well-being, the open space changes dimension by adapting its architecture to the expectations of the contemporary working world.
